ACCESS TO CREDIT  SERVICES  INITIATIVE  (ACSI)

Founded in 2003, ACSI was the first microfinance provider in Iraq. ACSI officers business, home improvement, and consumer loans between $500 and $25,000. With a network of thirteen branch offices across twelve governorates, ACSI seeks to assist entrepreneurs in strengthening their businesses, stabilizing their in­ comes, and creating and sustaining jobs to contribute to the economic revitalization of Iraq.

As of March 2011, ACSI serves 21,500 micro entrepreneurs  and  home owners, who employ an additional
46,000 Iraqis.  It has US$43 million in loans in circulation while consistently maintaining an almost  perfect repayment rate. ACSI has become the largest  micro­ finance program in Iraq as well as the CHF global network. ACSI continues to seek new ways to reach underserved populations, recently  adding new loan products targeted and  women  and youth.
